Name: Illian Jansen
Race: Aasimar
Class: Chaos mage. Often considered a barbaric form of magic, a chaos mage shapes the very essence of chaos to his whims, crafting his own spells at a moment's notice. But this power and flexibility comes at a terrible price, for where a wizard cast without risk, every spell damages the chaos mage. Few chaos mages remain untouched by chaos for long, the power they channel twisting their flesh in unnatural and alien ways.
Physical Description: Like most Aasimars Illian is tall and handsome, a well-built human male with a strong jaw. However, looking closer one discovers all is not as it should be. He does not have hair, instead thin blades of grass grow from his skull, reaching past his shoulders. His skin is lined with scars in alien shapes, remains of powerful spells gone wrong. A few black stones are set above his left brow, the round gems apparently growing out of his skin.
His clothes are more natural, consisting of a pair of pants, some sturdy boots and a simple tunic. His only really expensive piece is his robe, a long black one with a hood that's open in the front.
Personality: One does not become a chaos mage by worrying too much. Nor does one possess a abundance of care. Illian is reckless, wild and exuberant. Although often friendly, he is prone to jokes and sometimes decides to speak in riddles or gibberish. He is unreliable and unpredictable. He is also prone to getting into long, confusing stories that are completely unrelated to the thing at hand.
Short History: A young chaos mage, having turned to adventuring to hone his skills in chaos magic and perhaps find a fortune. Afterall, who doesn't like gold?
Long History: Sometimes, people are born with chaos in their blood. It flows in them, and magic comes as easy to them as breathing comes to us. Illian was one such child. He grew up in the slums of Athkatla, living with his family of gnomes. How exactly he came to be Aasimar is unknown, as is how come he's not very gnomoish. Or rather, there's too many tales of how it came to be. But the prevailing one concerns monkeys.
As he grew older, he felt compelled to try his skills in chaos magic, and such left for a life of adventure.
Gear:
Staff of the punished Illian's trusted companion and most valued item, his staff has a history and personality all it's own. Appearing to be at first nothing but a gnarled piece of wood, closer study reveal the magic nature of the staff. It's still growing. Thin roots shoot from the staff, twirling around it before seemingly vanishing into the wood again. Branches grow with a audible creaking, spurting mysterious fruit and berries.
So what is this staff? It's name was Adriana, a young chaos mage that had ambitions too great for her own good. She sought to destroy the multiverse, flooding the planes with chaos to give the world a new start. Unfortunately her plan was foiled, and as punishment she was imprisoned in her own staff. It has since seen the hands of many sorcerers, hoping to gain some of the power their chaotic brothers wield. But when the staff gives nothing they quickly discard it. But when Adriana rests in the hand of a chaos mage, she awakes.
In short, Adriana is alive, and quite able to talk. She can move on her own, hovering over the ground. She shares a link with her owner, telepathically giving advice and company although she can speak to all others if she wish. Her greatest use is the well of chaos and knowledge she puts at her owners disposal, allowing him to shape chaos with a far greater ease.
Robe of Jansenkind Little but a mildly enchanted piece of cloth, it allows him to store items by putting them inside the robes, where they vanish into a large pocket, not unlike that of a bag of holding. Furthermore, whenever it's owner wishes it can act like a portable hole by simply removing it and placing it across a surface. For example, by placing it against a wall and activating it, one could walk through to the other side of the wall. Exactly how much he can store is yet to be measured, but it's big enough for him to be able to store the contents of a small house.
The robe was given to him by one of his uncles, apparently a item from his own adventuring days, given to him by another generation of adventuring Jansen. The robe has been with the family for as long as anyone can remember, and seems to be stuffed with countless items. For example, he found Adriana in it.
Immovable rods five metal rods, about a decimeter long with a button on one end. Pressing the button makes the rod lock in place, not moving from where it is, even if staying in place defies gravity. Lots of uses for it.
Guild: Who else but the chaosmen?
Torment: Chaos is a dangerous thing, and the fate of other chaos mages before him often gnaw at Illian's psyche.

Other comments: Mort again, with yet another non-approved class. I just have soo much trouble staying away from all those rare and unique classes that exist in D&D
